The Producer's Workshop is a new music education and culture platform created and hosted by Paul Salva aka SALVA. Salva has produced, remixed and collaborated with artists such as Young Thug, Dizzee Rascal, Future, DVSN, Rihanna, Schoolboy Q, Yuna, Boys Noize and many more, spanning the range of genres between Pop, Techno, Trap and R&B.
After lectures for other alternative education platforms such as Dubspot and Red Bull Music Academy, Salva has created his own program to share his experience, knowledge and style with those who share a passion for electronic music production.
This first session is aimed at beginner to intermediate level producers and will focus on getting out of the box -- recording analog synths and drum machines, manipulating sounds and patterns with Ableton Live 10, discovering unique samples online with Splice, and more techniques all with the aim of creating unique sounding drum sounds and rhythms.
The Producer's Workshop will be hosted in Los Angeles on April 25th at a new facility called The Dock located at 1729 Standard Ave, Glendale CA 91201. The Dock is a free-floating recording studio geared at upstart electronic and hip hop artists and producers, with affordable hourly rates not common in most LA recording studios.
Doors open at 7pm for attendees to meet Salva and other participants, and even get to jam on of Salva's studio gear. The lecture will run from 8 to 10pm. Seating is first come, first serve with limited capacity, so be sure to RSVP and show up as early as possible.
